Error while configuring console. Step 5
« on: January 27, 2017, 08:22:29 AM »

I am just installing  PandoraFMS v6.0SP5 Build 170120 in a CENTOS 7 machine.
I followed the steps on http://wiki.pandorafms.com/index.php?title=Pandora:Documentation_en:Installing#Initial_Configuration_after_Installation, and I am alrready at the initial console configuration.

However, on step 5, I receive an error on the item "Established privileges for user pandora.", as follows:

Connection with Databaseok
Creating database pandoraok
Opening Database pandoraok
Creating Schemaok
Populating databaseok
Established privileges for user pandora. A new random password has been
 generated: zwhwkixl
Please write it down, you will need to setup your pandora FMS server, editing
the /etc/pandora/pandora_server.conf file
Write permissions to save config gile in ./includeok
Created new config gile at include/config.phook

There were some problems. Installation was not completed
Please correct falures before trying again. All database schemes created in this step have been dropped

The file config.php was created on this step, and the folder include has full permissions.  The database is not created.

How can I solve this issue?

Thank you

Hello msanchez,

Make sure that the user that you set on the previous step to create pandora database can connect to the MySQL and has the privileges needed to create the database, otherwise you will get errors.

Kind regards,

I tried with root user, which has all grants to create databases and all. In addition I created a  new user, with all privileges like this:

CREATE USER 'energy'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'energy123@';
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON * . * TO 'energy'@'localhost';

and it also doesn't work.

What else could be going on?
