Join host found with recon with registered agent
« on: January 23, 2017, 11:35:08 AM »
I have installed agent on one of my machines, and it showed up nicely with all the checks that are defined in /etc/pandora/pandora_agent.conf.
But I recon script already found that host and registered it with IP adress as the name of the agent with "Host alive" and "Host Latency" modules.
How can I join them so all the checks for one host is under the same name? Is it possible?

Hello turncoat,

The recon script will by default create the agent with its IP address, while the software agent will appear on the console with the hostname. This is the default behaviour, so keeping this in mind you can either create the host alive and host latency modules on your "software" created agent (the one with the hostname) or change the name of your software agent with the IP address (the old one with the hostname will eventually go unknown and you will have to delete it).

Kind regards,
