Discard unknown events
« on: February 08, 2017, 08:43:22 AM »
Hello!

it's possible to configure a module to discard unknown events in the console. But how can I set this parameter in XML from a plugin? I would like the initial run or the remote agent to set most of the module configuration...

Hello Syranolic,

It is not possible to specify that parameter on the XML I'm afraid. You will have to do it after module creation with massive operations or scripting (CLI/API).

Kind regards,
Antonio.

Thanks,

I'm looking forward to this improvement! :)
I also noticed that module_quiet can't be dynamically updated via XML, it would have been practical. I'm just going to create an extra module for the purpose of setting an alarm status when the main module is not "unknown", I think.

Hello Syranolic,

That's correct to, even when you can set a lot of parameters with the first XML, after module creation it is not possible to update most of them (once the module already exists). If I'm not mistaken, I think only the description can be updated actually.

Kind regards,
Antonio.
